Her present focus these days is in preparing figurative and landscape paintings for gallery sales, and portrait commissions. Surrounded by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest Rain Forest and its indigenous wildlife, Perri’s subject matter has expanded to include the flora and fauna outside her studio door. A long set-aside interest in printmaking has been renewed with a portion of the studio set up to house her two presses. Experimentation has been the key in eliminating the toxicity of a traditional print shop, particularly, as what goes down the drain, filters into the lake where they obtain their drinking water.

While still in Dallas, Perri was asked to participate in the development of two DVD’s on portrait painting and sales of these have increased steadily since clips of the films appeared on YouTube. She was involved in producing a line of pastels for Grumbacher, and is a member (and former ambassador) of the Portrait Society of America, a Fellow with the Association of the Medical Illustrators, and a Signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. A collection of her popular local landscapes are displayed in a calendar ‘Quadra Island from the Easel” and her note cards can be found in many locations on Vancouver Island.
